The Student fair Oslo East takes place at Norway Trade Fairs which is a large convention centre in Lillestrøm. The venue is located 11 minutes by train outside Oslo city center, and 13 minutes from the airport. The event is one of the biggest student fairs in Norway with nearly 15 000 visitors in total.

The students are invited to the fair throught close contact with the student advisors at each school, and are offered bus transport to the exhibition venue. Other visitors at the fair include students from community colleges and universities, student advisors, teachers, job seekers and others who are interested in education and career opportunities.

Visitors are interested in studying abroad
Results from the annual visitor surveys show that the majority of respondens are interested in information about studying abroad. Students in the Oslo regions are especially interested in study opportunitites abroad. This is based on statistics from Lånekassen which show which parts of Norway most of the students abroad come from.

The exhibitors at the fair are both national and international universities, colleges, community colleges, private schools and various organisations. Special interest groups, and companies that wish to promote certain industries and professions are also represented.
