FAQ

FAQ – Frequently asked questions:

For most international exhibitors it will be sufficient with 1- 2 representatives in the digital stand. We recommend 1 person for the chat line and 1 person for the video line. The same person may also be able to operate both functions if you don't expect lots of traffic and several enquiries at once. If you have ordered additional lines for chat or vidoe, you must have enough representatives to operate these. It will be possible to change representatives during the day so that you can take turns on operating the chat and video lines.

All schools will be invited to the fair in their own region and will be offered free group participation through the student advisors. We have close contact with the student advisors all year round to make sure they are well informed about the fairs, and to pre-register their students at the most suitable day and time.

We also invite other groups to visit the digital fairs such as older students and young adults who are interested in further education and career opportunities. All visitors have to pre-book a ticket and time slot in advance.

A short presentation film about your institution is included in the basic stand. This film will be shown to all visitors in a film sequence which will include the presentation film from all exhibitors. It will be obligatory for the visitors to watch the film sequence before they visit the fair as part of the preparation work. This will allow them to be introduced to all exhibitors and they can mark their favourites and plan the fair visit accordingly.

All information and material in the digital fair platform will be available online until mid-April. This means that students can log in as often as they want to until this time. The live functions will however not be available after the opening hours of the fairs.

Yes, you will obtain a report with information such as the number of visitors on your stand after each day, and also after the fair.

Included in the basic stand is 1 line for chat. This means that you will obtain one account / log in to operate the chat function. The person operating the chat line can answer several questions at the same time, but the chat will be private for the visitor and no one else can see it.

If you would like more than one representative to operate the chat function at the same time, you can order additional lines. This will increase your capacity and allow you to handle more enquires faster. The chat function will be visible as a window or chat bubble in your main stand (and in the channels if applicable).

Each webinar will have a chat function during the fair. This means that visitors to ask questions during or after watching your webinar. These questions will appear in your main chat line and it will be specified that they are coming from the webinar (so you can easily handle chat questions from your main stand and your webinars at the same time).

The film sequence will include the presentation film from all exhibitors and this will be shown to all visitors prior to the fair. It will be obligatory for the students to watch the film sequence before they visit the fair as part of the preparation work. This will allow them to be introduced to all exhibitors and they can mark their favourites and plan the fair visit accordingly. The film sequence is translated to the Filmkarusell in Norwegian. Read more about films and the film sequence here.

A channel is an underlying page (or a mini-stand) in your digital stand. The channel can represent a specific program or subject area within your institution. This gives you the opportunity to provide more detailed information about the programs you offer. A channel can also present a different area of your institution such as ‘Student life and activities’ or present various campuses/places to study. See illustration of a basic stand with channels here.

An overview of the channels will be easily available in your main stand. The visitors can click their way into each channel which will have the same structure and features as the main stand. This means that 1 presentation film (20 seconds), 1 mini-webinar (3 minutes), 1 line for chat and 1 line for video is included. Please note that the presentation film in the channels will not be included in the film sequence. The chat and video lines can be operated by staff who are experts on the subject / program which is presented in the channel (student ambassadors or program consultants for instance).  See illustration of a channel here.

For many exhibitors, it will be sufficient with 1 line for chat and 1 line for video (which is included in the basic stand). Others will find it necessary to increase the capacity on their stand by ordering additional lines for chat and video. The number of lines needed depends on expected traffic on your stand and how many representatives you need to answer queries at the same time.

Yes, this will be possible. We do however recommend that you order the required number of lines in advance. If you still order additional lines during the fair, some waiting time must be expected before the service can be activated.
